The owner began her career in 1995 working for Lindamood-Bell and in 1998 founded a private enterprise assisting students with learning differences in Georgia. Within three months the Center was attracting families from the surrounding five counties.

Returning to San Diego in 2008 she founded the current learning center. She also trained in Orton-Gillingham and Wilson Language Training, and has been on the forefront of the dyslexia and hyperlexia arena over the past decade and a half. The learning center has established relationships with the surrounding private schools which allow the team to work with students on private school campuses. As of August 2019, it has partnered with a Montessori school. The team is able assist students to improve reading and language comprehension skills.
