Reader�s Choice Used Books opened for business in this location in October 1996. It is a general used bookstore with both fiction and non-fiction, hardback and paperback books. We also carry a few new books and can special order new or used books. We accept book trade-ins on a daily basis, which means it�s possible to receive up to a couple hundred books a day. Customers may use their book trade credit the same day they bring in books and then we maintain a running tally of any unused credit. Although we do not have a computerized inventory system, the book sections throughout the store are well-labeled and organized according to genre and author for fiction and subject for non-fiction. This makes it very easy to determine whether or not we have a specific title.

Reader�s Choice typically has the best success when it�s owner-operated, meaning during a work week, the owner works 35-40 hours and a single employee works 20-25 hours. It takes some time to train employees but training them to do everything the owner does is very important. Employees should be able to buy, trade and price books similarly to the owner.
