Business Description:
We are a developer/manufacturer of high-performance home audio loudspeakers.
We have a line of products, all in the high-end range of the audio market. See the website for an overview of our company, and details of all the speaker models. Our lead product is listed for $120,000, and is about 90% profit margin. You do not need to sell very many of these units to create a substantial cash flow.
We have spent seven years in the research and development of this line of speakers, and though we have no current sales, with some aggressive promotion and marketing, we believe that substantial sales will be forthcoming. The owner of the business has invested all of his capital in the development of the product, and does not currently have enough cash to proceed with the necessary marketing campaign. Also, illness on the part of the owner is compelling him to sell the business at what amounts to a sacrifice price. So what you are buying is the business including the intellectual property of these proprietary speaker designs, and manufacturing methods, which are now ready to sell. Also included is a substantial inventory of speaker cabinets (all of the models) which are manufactured in a separate furniture factory. We spent many years experimenting with and getting samples made by over 20 different factories, until we found two that can do the job to perfection. The final assembly and testing is done in our own factory facility in Oakland, and units may be shipped from there all over the world.
Also in our factory facility is a complete wood-working machine shop, including a CNC router, which we have used to develop the prototype models of all the designs. Though all the products are now fully developed, and the machinery no longer used for prototyping.
